Lutein is one of the key components of the macula lutea and is important for proper vision. The consumption of large quantities of lutein and zeaxanthin contained in vegetables can help  provide the nutrients that are necessary for maintaining the structural integrity of the macula.  It is however difficult to increase the systemic circulation of these important nutrients through diet alone.

MacuGuard ™ formula along with phospholipids -  an integral part of the cell membrane contains also other important components for the health of the eye organ such as lutein. Phospholipids have proven to assist in the effective absorption of lutein. Scientific research has shown that phospholipids improve systemic circulation and concentrations of lutein in the retina of the eye and are an important weapon for healthy eyes.

MacuGuard ™ offers triple eye protection: (a) it maintains optimum lutein concentration inthe eyes, (b) helps in the efficient absorption of lutein, (c) elpHphospholipids boost lutein levels in the cell membranes. It also retains the levels of zeaxanthin in the eyes and provides meso-zeaxanthin- a component that is difficult to obtain from food sources.

Each capsule of MacuGuard ™ contains a mixture of carotenoids phospholipids, supplementing the body with phospholipids, lutein, meso-zeaxanthin and trans-zeaxanthin, along with cyanidin-3-glucoside (C3G), an extract derived from the European black currant.
