Dental Floss

Dental floss is a thin, flexible piece of string or ribbon designed for cleaning the spaces between teeth. It is an essential tool in oral hygiene for removing food particles and plaque from areas that a toothbrush might not reach effectively. 

Dental floss can be made from various materials, including nylon, Teflon, or even natural materials like silk. Some floss is waxed, which can make it easier to slide between teeth, while others are unwaxed.

Waxed Dental Floss: Has a coating of wax or Teflon, making it smoother and easier to slide between teeth.
Unwaxed Dental Floss: Does not have a coating, providing a different texture and feel during use.
Flavored Dental Floss: Some floss comes in flavored varieties, such as mint or cinnamon, to enhance the user experience.
Thickness: Dental floss comes in various thicknesses or diameters. Thicker floss may be more suitable for people with larger gaps between their teeth, while thinner floss can be beneficial for those with tight spaces.

Use: To use dental floss, a piece is typically unwound from the spool, wrapped around the fingers, and gently inserted between two teeth. It should then be moved back and forth to clean the sides of each tooth.
