The Probiotics 40 Billion dietary supplement is a powerful probiotic blend with 13 live friendly probiotic strains (lactobacillus strains, Bifidobacterium lactis and Streptococcus thermophillus strains) that contribute to normal digestive system functioning and to maintaining the balance of the digestive microflora.

Each capsule contains 40 billion stems/capsule to develop and balance the normal intestinal flora (microflora), thus enhancing the body's defence against pathogenic organisms of the digestive system. The probiotic strains create colonies of "good" microorganisms which in turn they remove the pathogenic microorganisms responsible for a number of gastrointestinal disorders.

The biological activity of the probiotic strains Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria are largely due to their ability to attach to the enterocytes and thereby inhibit the binding of intestinal pathogens through the "competitive foreclosure" process.
